Glazed pots!

I glazed five of my pots today. The studio has such a great selection of glazes - and they fire with oxidation and reduction. I only did five of the six pots because one of them was a bit too thick and I had to wash the glaze off. Am looking forward to seeing the results!

9 1/2 inches!!!

I learned a new way of pulling for pieces higher than six inches. Also I learned how to use the wood rib for smoothing out pieces! Cool!!

It all started out when I got the wonderful B mix clay - it's so smooth! And after practicing on the gritty long beach clay, I was able to center in a jiffy. I even cut myself on the long beach today - it was so gritty. BLAH. In any case, I got the clay up to 9 1/2 inches - the tallest ever!

I'd also like to make a tech plug - this post wouldn't have been possible without my iphone - so cool - i just whipped it out, snapped the pic, and emailed the post to my blog. really really neat!!
